Budget for the delivered parcel, using the live checkout rate and shipping quote.
A card price is not a delivered price
The USD figure on our product cards estimates the item price using ¥7.2 = $1. It does not include domestic delivery, optional services, international freight or destination charges. The rate at Sugargoo checkout and the charges from your payment provider can differ from that display estimate.
Sugargoo’s total-cost guide separates product cost, domestic logistics, service costs, international delivery and destination-related costs. Keep those categories separate in your own budget so a small item price does not hide a large delivery bill.
Try this original example
Every amount below is invented for illustration. These are not current Sugargoo fees, route quotes or tax estimates.
Suppose three products total ¥432, domestic delivery is ¥24, selected packing or services are ¥36, and the international quote is ¥288. Using the example rate of 7.2:
| Budget component | Example CNY | Example USD |
|---|---|---|
| Products | ¥432 | $60.00 |
| Domestic delivery | ¥24 | $3.33 |
| Selected packing and services | ¥36 | $5.00 |
| International freight | ¥288 | $40.00 |
| Subtotal | ¥780 | $108.33 |
The products alone look like a $60 purchase; the example subtotal is $108.33. Payment conversion, applicable taxes or other destination charges still need their own entries. Use actual information for your destination instead of treating a route name as a promise that every charge is included.
Replace estimates at each decision
Before paying for goods, record the actual variant prices and domestic charges. Before international shipping, replace guessed freight with a quote for the packed parcel. Check any optional services separately rather than adding them automatically.
Keep a column labelled “not confirmed” for unknown costs. An unknown charge is not zero. If you need a spending buffer, choose it according to how much uncertainty remains and your own spending limit; there is no universal percentage that guarantees a sufficient budget.
Give yourself a stop point
Write down your maximum delivered spend before browsing. If the updated total exceeds it, reconsider the selection before paying the next stage. Adding another product to make freight “worth it” can still increase your total cash outlay.
For a mixed parcel, dividing total freight by item count gives a simple average, but it does not describe each item’s shipping cost accurately. Bulky shoes and a small belt occupy different amounts of space. Use the parcel total for the purchase decision, and read the weight and rehearsal guide when volume is uncertain.
